Disclosure: EZQR publishes this page and sells a competing product. QR Tiger figures were read from qrcode-tiger.com/payment in August 2026.
An earlier version of this comparison contained several errors about QR Tiger, all of which flattered us. It is worth listing them rather than quietly fixing them.
It said QR Tiger's free tier includes no dynamic codes. It includes three, the same as ours.
It said Premium at $37/mo gives unlimited dynamic codes. It gives 600.
It said Advanced gives 50 dynamic codes. It gives 200.
It said every QR Tiger paid plan requires annual billing. Regular at $7/mo is the monthly entry tier.
It also asserted that QR Tiger lacks password protection, link scheduling and unique-view tracking. We had not verified those absences, so they are gone. Stating that a competitor lacks a feature requires checking, and we had not.
What follows uses published figures only.

Tips
- At the top tier the volume comparison flips: QR Tiger Premium gives 600 codes for $37/mo annual, EZQR Max gives unlimited for $20/mo monthly. Below 600 codes the difference is price and billing rather than capacity.
- QR Tiger Advanced gives 200 dynamic codes against EZQR Pro at 100. If you need between 100 and 200 codes, Advanced is the better fit on capacity and Max is the better fit on price.
The free-tier difference is the scan cap
Both free tiers give three dynamic codes. The difference is what happens when people actually scan them.
QR Tiger caps each free dynamic code at 500 scans. EZQR does not meter scans on any tier, free or paid.
Five hundred sounds generous until you attach it to a real placement. A table tent in a moderately busy cafe collects somewhere around 15 to 40 scans a day, so the ceiling arrives inside five weeks at the low end. A window decal on a busy street can pass it in a fortnight.
The failure mode is the problem rather than the number. A code limit tells you immediately, in the dashboard, when you try to create the fourth code. A scan cap tells you nothing until a customer mentions that your menu code is broken, and it triggers precisely when the campaign is working hardest.
This is a design choice on both sides rather than a technical necessity, and any vendor can change it, so verify it rather than trusting a page written by one of us. Annual billing, and who it suits
QR Tiger's Advanced and Premium rates are billed annually. Regular at $7/mo is the monthly option, so the annual requirement starts above the entry tier rather than at it.
Annual billing is not a trap. For a business that already knows its volume it is usually the better value, and the discount is real: $16/mo for 200 codes is a genuinely strong rate against what the rest of this category charges.
The cost falls on businesses that have not yet learned what they need, which is most of them in a first quarter of using QR codes. Sign up, print in month two, discover in month three that you use six codes rather than the sixty you planned, and then hold that tier for another nine months.
EZQR bills monthly at every tier and offers no annual discount. That is the trade running the other way: a business with stable, known volume pays more over a year with us than it would on a discounted annual plan.

Where QR Tiger is the better product
QR Tiger is the most-searched generator in this category for reasons that hold up.
Design depth. Its customisation is the strongest in the category. More template variety, more pattern and eye-style control, and a longer-refined editor. If a branded code that looks distinctly yours is the priority, QR Tiger does that better than we do.
Track record and enterprise footing. Longer history, larger review base, and approval workflows built for large logistics and e-commerce operations. If you are procuring for an enterprise with compliance requirements, that maturity counts.
Code volume at the mid tier. 200 dynamic codes on Advanced against our 100 on Pro. For a business sitting in that band, Advanced fits where Pro does not, and moving to Max is the answer on our side.
Annual value. If you will commit a year, $16/mo for 200 codes is competitive on any reading.
Where we are the better fit: monthly billing throughout, no scan metering on any tier, no watermark on any tier, and a lower price at equivalent volume. Our scan analytics cover country data from Lite and city-level from Pro, with API access and bulk import on Max at $20/mo.
Pick by volume and commitment
Under 25 dynamic codes, want monthly billing. EZQR Lite at $5/mo. QR Tiger Regular at $7/mo gives 12, so the fit depends on whether you need more than a dozen.
25 to 100 codes. EZQR Pro at $10/mo monthly.
100 to 200 codes. QR Tiger Advanced at $16/mo annual fits on capacity; EZQR Max at $20/mo monthly fits without the commitment and removes the ceiling entirely.
Over 600 codes. EZQR Max, since QR Tiger Premium caps at 600.
Design is the priority. QR Tiger. Its editor is better than ours and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
